Mythology in Western Art

Ancient Greek mythology has been an inspiration for artists
throughout the centuries. Stories of
heroes, mysterious creatures, gods and goddesses have been brought to life in
both paintings and sculptures for hundreds of years. Beginning with ancient Greece, this class will trace the
use of mythological themes in western art up to the present day.
